Folding it back up is a challenge the first time, but after that it is easy - no harder than the pop-up sunshades for car windows. It is also difficult to fold the shelter back up if it is very windy on the beach (best to fold it flat and carry it to the parking lot to fold it back in the carrying case). It can also be a challenge to find the right wind direction to aim the tent so it doesn't flatten on one side - doesn't work great in very windy conditions - it will stay up put with sand in the pockets and won't fly down the beach, but, in wind, it won't stay erect - one side will want to flatten in the wind. Easy to fit two people in short beach chairs under the tent. Biggest complaint is that the shelter is fairly fragile (probably only good for one season). This sunshelter was perfect. She loved it and played under it the entire time. The open sides allowed for a nice cross breeze and she didn't feel as if she was missing anything. It is small but several small children could fit under it. In fact, she made a couple of friends because they didn't want to stay under their tents that didn't allow them access to the sand. It could also fit an adult and a toddler in the shade. It popped up very easily and stayed put with just sand in the pockets. I could take it down in a matter of seconds on the beach after practicing at home several times. For this cost, it is more than worth it. It is well manufactured and I don't foresee any problems. The ONLY deciding factor I can imagine (which is not an issue with me) is that the material is not 100% sunproof. As stated, it is 50+ and doesn't block out the sun entirely but creates a very relaxing shade. The inside of the carry case has simple instructions for folding this back up (along with a youtube address if you need a video). Folding this up is simple - once you understand the process it will take you seconds.
